When does does your service begin?

Our service begins around 10:30 AM. Emphasis on the around. :)

Where are you located?

900 West Jeffery St. Kankakee, IL 60901

(We are in between Burgers and Beer Restaurant and Kankakee High School)

What about my kids?

We call our kids our youngest worshipers. They are not just part of the church of the future; they are part of the church of today. They just happen to be the youngest worshipers amongst us. Consequently, we want them to be in service with us. So most Sundays they stay in service until about halfway through after a "mini-moment" we share together with them. Once a month we have them stay the entire service with us, but our nursery is always available.

What kind of church are you?

The kind that shows up for God and for each other. We want to see the kingdom of God come and God's will be done, in Kankakee (and beyond) as it is in heaven. We genuinely welcome anyone. For however long you are with us, we are glad you are with us.

Is Community Cup part of a denomination?

Yes, we are part of the Church of the Nazarene.  Don't let that long name scare you—we have a story unlike many others.

Someone once asked, "Can anything good come from Nazareth?" This was Jesus' hometown. So Jesus was considered a Nazarene.

We took on the name (Nazarene) to be like Jesus and to affiliate ourselves with people that others might prefer to avoid.

Our history begins in the heart of L.A. When many churches were fleeing the city because of problems, homelessness, alcohol and addiction struggles, we decided to be present and find the good in those where others argued no good could be found. The Church of the Nazarene is now a global family and today, there are more Nazarenes outside of the USA than inside the USA.
